The USS Constitution is nicknamed "Old Ironsides" due to its thick (wooden) hull and resistance to enemy cannon fire. It was commissioned in 1797, one of the original 6 ships in the US Navy, and the only one still commissioned.

The Bunker Hill Monument. This commemorates the Battle of Bunker Hill. The battle actually took place on nearby Breeds Hill, and that is where the monument is.
