Villa Escudero is a working coconut plantation and resort. We drove down there from Manila one day.

Part of our visit there was a caribaou-drawn cart ride, complete with a serenade of traditional music. A carabao is the Philippine version of a buffalo. |

This caribao was called "Pogi" which means "handsome". I though that made an interesting name given the angle we has on the caribao as shown in this picture. |

They have a buffet available there beside a large waterfall. The interesting thing is that you are actually eating in the river (e.g. your feet get wet). |
